Direct selling is one of the biggest and fastest-growing industries in the country, and rightfully so. And as an industry with such a bright future ahead of it, it’s possible that more and more people will be looking to join it. While more people joining the industry is a welcome sight, it is important to make sure that you are ready for the industry.

One of the first signs that you might have the wrong impression about direct selling companies is that you believe that you will get rich quick or do not have much work to do. Neither of them could be further from the truth. But I have heard more than one person conveying the same idea to me.

Here are some things to keep in mind if you are looking to start your journey as an entrepreneur.

The cardinal rule of direct selling is that you only join a direct selling company whose products you use and love. For me, this was a top direct selling company in India in the form of QNET. I have been a regular user of QNET India products and finally decided to enter the business myself.

It is crucial that you use and love the products that you plan to sell as it allows you to sell them better as well as to come with a better sales pitch for the same.

You love to meet new people and network

Network marketing direct selling companies like QNET depend heavily on the networking aspect to grow. If you wish to become a successful and profitable direct selling business, you will have to grow your network and sales team.

Through networking and meeting new people is a crucial part of direct selling, do not fret if you are not comfortable at first. It is a journey, and with time and exposure, you will be able to learn how to network effectively and become more of a people person.

Like I said at the start of the article, direct selling network marketing companies are not a get-rich-quick scheme. Always remember that there might be a number of reasons why the customer or client rejected your offer. Use whatever information that you learned from the interaction to make better decisions for your next sales pitch.

You look for mentorship and learn from others.

One of the best resources that I got when I joined QNET India was a large number of mentors and leaders that was part of the business. These were mostly direct sellers themselves who had traversed the tough road to success and were more than happy to share the knowledge and help me improve.

These direct selling mentors will help you achieve success faster as they will show you the tips and tricks of the trade as well as stop you from making the same mistakes they did.

You want to help others.

While making a profit is at the core of all direct selling companies, they are also some of the most charitable organisations out there. Not only do they sell products that are aimed at improving health and lifestyle in a sustainable manner, but they also run a number of charity events and programs to help those in need.

Take, for instance, QNET India and the number of efforts that they have undertaken to help the needy. This is one question that I cannot answer for you. Only you can answer the question of whether you are cut out for the industry.
